They Who Find Us
They Who Find Us brings together photographic encounters with dogs and cats who have crossed my life - some briefly, others more deeply, all of them leaving a distinct emotional trace. Rather than approaching animals as separate subjects, the project reflects on the quiet relationships that emerge through companionship, care, memory, and shared presence.
These images come from a growing recognition that connection is not always something we choose, but something that finds us. Through each encounter, the work considers how animals shape emotional life, alter perception, and remain with us in ways that often exceed language.
Without fixed narrative or explanation, They Who Find Us gathers these presences as gestures of remembrance - a way of honouring those who appeared unexpectedly, those who stayed, and those whose absence continues to echo through memory.
