The project centers on a room we use every day, yet rarely pause to consider: the bathroom. Often understood as a purely functional space, it appears here instead as a site of metamorphosis - a place where the self is repeatedly undone and reassembled.

Once the door is closed, the outside world recedes. Clothes are removed, social roles loosen, and the body enters a different rhythm of attention. In this private space, daily gestures become charged with intimacy, repetition, and transformation.

The project approaches the bathroom as a kind of laboratory of the self: a room where vulnerability, ritual, and self-construction quietly unfold. Through photography, Where Things Begin reflects on the hidden spaces in which identity is rehearsed, interrupted, and made anew.
