Ongoing
Steering is an ongoing series of portraits depicting people positioned on a bicycle while facing the horizon. The bicycle itself remains outside the frame, leaving only the posture - subtle, suspended, and slightly unfamiliar - as a trace of what is not fully shown.
The project reflects on perception and the ways we construct meaning from partial information. In the absence of a complete image, the body becomes a site of suggestion, and the viewer is invited to confront the assumptions, narratives, and judgments that emerge in response to what cannot be entirely seen.
Through portraiture, Steering explores the fragile space between what is visible and what is inferred, asking how much of what we believe we understand is shaped by what is missing.
